Some natural products may help to ease a throbbing toothache. Can’t get straight to your dentist? Relieve your tooth pain naturally with the use of home remedies for a toothache and at home.
In case of a toothache or pain in the gums, place a piece of onions at the exact spot, it will bring relief.
Grind 24 grams of bottle gourd and 20 grams of garlic and boil in 900 ml of water, when the water is reduced to half, strain it and rinse the mouth with it. It will provide relief from pain.
Inhaling the smell of mustard oil from one nostril once or twice relieves pain. Mix mustard oil, lemon juice, and rock salt and massage the gums. It will clean the teeth, relieves the pain and tighten the gums.
Mix very finely ground and sieved salt with mustard oil. Massaging the gums and teeth with it will provide relief from a toothache and swelling of gums.
If the teeth are rotten and painful, place a little asafoetida beneath the painful ones. It will relieve the pain. There is homeopathic medicine made from asafoetida.
Paint the rotten teeth with its mother tincture, it will provide relief from pain. Soak the cotton swab in warm asafoetida water and put it between the painful teeth, it relieves pain.
Gargling with warm saline water is beneficial in a toothache. Massaging the teeth and gums with finely ground rock salt is quite beneficial. If a tooth is loose, mix black salt in sesame oil and massage the gums.
Every type of toothache can be relieved by the use of caraway seeds. Put some seeds on live coal and smoke the painful teeth.
Put a tsp each of salt and ground caraway seeds in boiling water and keep it covered for some time. When the water is warm, take a draught and retain it in the mouth for some time, then spit out.
Repeat it several times. There should be a gap of two hours between the smoking of the teeth and rinsing of the mouth. Repeat both the activities three times a day to get relief from a toothache.
Grind black pepper in the juice of basil leaves and make small globules. Putting in between the painful teeth provides relief from pain.
Massaging the gums with the paste of mint leaves provides relief from a toothache.
First, retain for two minutes of hot water in the mouth. Follow it with very cold water for two minutes. Repeat if four times. Start with the use of hot water and finish with cold water.
Continue with it at least three days even after the pain is over. For swollen gums rinsing with hot water is beneficial. It provides relief from a toothache.
Cut a lemon into four pieces. Put salt on them and eat them one by one and put them on aching molar one at a time and compress. It will be helpful in relieving pain.
If the teeth have become rotten and painful, mix little camphor in Indian gooseberry juice and apply it to the aching teeth. It will provide relief.
Using clean clay as toothpaste and massaging the gums with it daily provides relief from pain.
Grind 5 cloves and add lemon juice to it. Massage the teeth with it to get relief from a toothache.
Boil 5 cloves in a glass of water and rinse the mouth with it. Do it three times a day for relief from a toothache.
In case of rotten teeth, put a clove between the teeth or apply clove oil.
Indian Lilac (Margosa/Neem):
Boil margosa leaves in water and rinses the mouth. It provides relief from a toothache.
To get relief from a toothache, put camphor between the aching teeth. In case of a cavity, fill it with camphor. It will bring relief from pain and kill the germs.
Roast it and then grind it. Massaging the aching teeth will provide relief from pain. It destroys the germs. Massaging the teeth with only turmeric powder is quietly effective.
If you compress a piece of turmeric between the aching teeth, it will reduce the pain.
